INBOUND 2025, San Francisco — an introvert's field trip

On why a big conference drains my energy and pays off anyway.

Next week, direction San Francisco for #INBOUND2025 with my sales team at SmartBug Media.

In day-to-day life, I'm pretty introverted. A quiet guy.

But at an event like that… something unlocks.

I drop into hunt-for-prospects mode.

Yes, it drains my energy fast — naps become mandatory.

But it pays: coming back with a list of concrete opportunities is what makes all the difference for me in business development.

These events aren't just keynotes and conferences.

They're extraordinary encounters.

Real conversations with prospects.

And a chance to see your colleagues in a different light than on a Google Meet.

Also, it's the opportunity to order pizza for everybody at 11:30 PM and receive it at 2:45 AM (my specialty, a classic).

Bottom line, excited to live the experience again — learn, connect, and bring back something concrete.

Who else will be on-site in San Francisco at Inbound?

Justine Verrier, Evens Sheehy, Alexandra Whitmore, Adam Bleibtreu, Sébastien Sills, Peter Henkels, Casey N. Peddicord, Simon Ross.
